I, too, was able to shake hands with and meet Elder Ballard in Logan at a fireside where he was the guest speaker about the Constitution, a few years ago. Like Sister Sowards, I wanted to meet him as well and tell him I had served in the CTWM. Just as he was getting ready to leave, I was able to stop him for a second and tell him I had served in the CTWM. He said to me, "Aahh, you're one of the true missionaries." That's awesome that Sister Sowards and her companion got a similar reaction out of him. The CTWM truly is a GREAT mission!
