In 1999 I left for the MTC to serve in the Toronto East mission. I had 2 or 3 days left before I was to leave the MTC and found out I was very sick and had to come home. I found out that my mission was here at home in British Columbia. I was able to meet amazing people and teach them about the gospel here. I am to this day, incredibly grateful for the experience of the MTC and know that it helped to shape the person I am today.
I now have a daughter by the name of Ava-Marie. She is 2 and a half years old. I have just recently come back to the church from being away from it for 3 years. It has strengthened my testimony of the gospel to see how fears that I had, could be turned into strengths, with the help and guidance of the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope to hear from the missionaries that served here in Victoria third ward and want all of them to know they all were wonderful and I was grateful to have had the oppourtunity to meet such wonderful sons and daughters of God. |
