I would be really grateful if you would be kind enough to announce the funeral service of Ralph Pulman Senior which will take place at 10.30am on Wednesday 30 June 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Georgetown, Merthyr Tydfil and 12.00pm at the Cefn Coed Cemetery.

Anyone wishing to attend will be very welcome.

The family have requested donations to a designated charity in place of floral tributes.

Ralph Pulman (1983-1986) The following information was supplied by President Pullman. Ralph was born in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales Great Britain. His parents, grandparents and great-grandparents were members of the church. He was trained as an engineer at Quakers Yard Technical College. He server a short time in the Royal Air Force, servicing and repairing aircraft engines. When military service was completed he started his own company. He had seven companies in seven years. Ralph has severed in the following positions in the church. He has served in District and Branch callings; member of the Mission Board of Great Britain;. District President twice; Stake President; Regional Representative assigned to Manchester Region, London Region, Northern and Southern Ireland and South Africa; Mission President of the Canada Vancouver Mission and as Temple President of the London Temple for five years with his second wife Sister Retta Wynder Crapo Pulman who served as Matron. (see Church News article below). After serving only eight weeks as Mission President, his wife died. He was allowed to carry on as Mission President until his calling was complete. After being home for eighteen months, Ralph married Retta Crapo, a Canadian lady who lived in Alberta, Canada. Retta is the mother of Ross Crapo who served as Stake President of the Vancouver Island Stake. Presently Ralph and Retta serve as Ordinance Workers at the London Temple for one week in five. Ralph is also privileged to be a Sealer. Ralph is a director of a Development Company involved in the construction of new homes.

President Pulman states: My mission was marred by the loss of my wife Jane. In spite of this it brought great joy to be around the young, youthful missionaries and the older young, youthful missionaries. I worked and toiled with them and shared their testimonies. An experience not given to all, but much enjoyed by those who have the privilege.

Ralph Pulman, 62, called as president of the London Temple, succeeding Pres. Arthur Henry King. Pres. Pulman served as president of the Canada Vancouver Mission, regional representative, counselor to five mission presidents, stake president, and district president. He was a district commissioner of Scouting for 10 years. His wife, Retta Wynder Crapo Pulman, will be temple matron. She has served in the Primary, YWMIA, and as a ward Relief Society President. She also serve a mission in Independence, Mo., and more recently served as a seminary teacher. The Pulmans are members of the Merthyr Tydfil Ward, Merthyr Tydfil Wales Stake. Pres. Pulman was educated as an engineer at the Quakers Yard Technical College and is a real estate developer and company director. Pres. Pulman was widowed five years ago and has six children. Sister Pulman was widowed nine years ago and has five children. The couple was married a year ago in the Alberta Temple. This information copied from the Church News, 13 August 1988.
