Michael holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in statistics from Brigham Young University. Mr. Booth has over 12 years of experience in statistical computing and consulting. During his studies and research, he has worked on projects in engineering, manufacturing, nutritional studies, agriculture, learning processes, linguistics, election forecasting, and computer applications in statistics. Mr. Booth also has broad experience in survey and sampling techniques. In addition to the many various surveys that he has worked on, Michael provided computational and data-management services for two statewide election exit-polls. Michael is an experienced trainer. He has developed and taught courses on statistical thinking, design of experiments, process improvement, software usage, and several other topics. He has also developed customized statistical and database applications for a variety of clients. These applications have provided solutions for many fields including process improvement, perception surveys, CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing), telemetry parsing, simulations, and data conversion/management. Michael is currently a Principal Consultant with Booth Associates and is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) and a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) with the American Society for Quality. He is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality and a charter member of the ASQ Six Sigma Forum. |
