	Troy was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1968. His family moved to St. David, Arizona, in 1977, and he lived there until he went to college (University of Arizona) in 1985. A couple of years after his mission, he dropped out of college to start a computer consulting business with a close friend. After six years, he decided to go to work for a software company (GroupSystems.com) and go back to school. Troy and Karen were married in the Mesa Temple in 1997 and have three children. Troy's job at AdvancedMD Software led them to move from Tucson to Draper, Utah, in August of 2000, where they expect to remain for a few more years, until they can get back to their family and friends in southern Arizona.
