Comments: I had more companions than these. Give 'em time; the rest will come around. My wife, Anneke, and I were sealed in the Washington, D.C. temple November 18, 1999. We moved to Ogden, UT from Upstate New York (45 min. from Palmyra) in August 2000 when I began my studies at Weber State University. I will graduate on December 16th, 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and a minor in Spanish. We don't have any children yet. We have enjoyed living in Utah and have made wonderfoul friends here. However, we must move on. We're moving back to good old NY the day after graduation. We will be living with my in-laws for a little while after we get home (with a promise to find our own place as soon as possible, of course). I'm considering gradute studies at Binghampton University in Comparative Literature which will lead to a Master's of Arts and possibly a Ph.D. in translation. I'm not exactly sure what career path all this education is going to take, but I think it would be really cool to be the guy who translates all the under-exposed literature (Spanish, etc.) and expose it to the English-speaking world. Until then, I'm going to have to be an over-educated burger flipper or some such thing. More updates to come. :) |
