I came back from my mission and became a classroom aide for a few years while working toward my degree in Spanish. I graduated from SDSU in 2000 and became a Special Ed. teacher. I got married a year later and now have a wonderful family. I have four step-daughters and one little one of my own.
My family has been blessed. When I started my mission my mother had recently been diagnosed with cardio-myopothy (sp) and given five years to live. After much fasting and prayer, and through a real miracle, my mother received a heart transplant in June of 1999, two years after she was supposed to have died. I took a leap of faith leaving on my mission, but the Lord told me everything would be alright. I saw with my own two eyes that the Lord does keep his promises and does answer prayers. |
