Comments: Life is pretty good. My de facto fiancé, Maile Hatch, is serving in the Hiroshima, Japan mission, and I am very proud of her. In the meantime, I've been at the Unversity of Arizona studying Math, Economics, History, and of course Spanish. Outside of class, I work as a resident assistant on campus and as a tutor for students with learning disabilities. Since May 2001 I've had the priviledge of serving as the Ward Mission Leader in my student ward. I love the opportunity it gives me to work so closely with the missionaries and to participate in the Lord's work.
At the very end of 2000 I returned to visit Chile. I stayed with my companion, Carlos Torres, and his wife Dorka in Tomé for a few days, and then spent a few days visiting families and friends in Santiago. It was an incredibly awesome experience, and I encourage anyone to consider making the sacrifices necessary to make such a trip. I can't wait to return again together with my future wife for a more extensive stay.
