I am married and have six grown up children, plus 4 granddaughters and 5 grandsons. all my granddaughters and one of my grandsons live in Utah and four of my grandsons live within a mile from where I live. I retired from teaching Biology at a South Texas College which happens to be located in my hometown. I retired three years ago.
I was priviledged to attend the 50th Chilean Mission anniversary last August. I had the pleasure of meeting some of the returned missionaries that I met while serving in Chile. Unfortunately, there were very few.
About 8 years ago, I visited Chile. I spent a month in Talca. I did visit Linares which at the time I served there were no more than 20 members. I was surprised to learn that there were several wards in Linares.
By the way, I learned from a very close friend of mine that Sister Ninfa Lozano who served her mission at the same time I did, passed away about eight years ago. While at the reunion I spoke to several sisters that were interested in knowing the whereabouts of sister Lozano. I am sorry I do not have better news about her to communicate to these sisters. |
