I married LuAnn Richardson (Burley, ID) in 1974. We live in Oregon City, OR. We have six daughters and 2 sons. My oldest daughter was born on my wife's birthday and both of my sons (not twins) were born on my birthday! I have served as bishop twice, in a stake presidency, on the high council with one of my assignments being a Spanish branch, and currently serving in the Oregon Portland Mission presidency (4/20). It brings back such wonderful memories of the mission! After owning a portion of a couple of restaurants for nine years, I became a general contractor in 1980 and specialize in residential construction, additions, and remodels. All my children are married and we currently have 28 grandchildren with, having lost one to crib death when she was just 10 weeks old. Every summer I join with a marvelous institute director and we take a group of adults on a week long church history tour from the Sacred Grove, to Kirtland, Grandin Book Store, Nauvoo, Liberty Jail, and the Carthage Jail. I love musical theater and have enjoyed immensely playing the role of Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof", Hoarce Vandergelder in "Hello Dolly" and the Bishop in "Les Mis". It is such a privilege and blessing to serve the Lord in His great work! |
