I also say that the time I spent as a missionary was one of the greatest adventures of my life. I remember how Pres. Burton some how always knew where I was so I could translate for a conference. Elder Hinckley needed a translater for a special health blessing at the Vina del Mar branch in 1969 and I was assigned. This blessing was not only for this little listless boy, but my testimony that Elder Hinckley was an Apostle of the Lord. I have 3 kids (all married in the temple) and 6 grandchildren. My eldest daughter served in the Canary Islands. I served as the supervisor of the Spanish Sessions (Men) and my Mom was the supervisor of the sisters at the same time (Los Angeles Temple).
I was Elders' Quorum President, 70's group leader, Branch President, High Councilor, Ward Mission Leader, etc. I would love to hear from any Elder that remembers me. |
