1946 Chevrolet Panel Truck
A district conference in Talca left several members of the mission home staff stranded because unexpectedly all the trains and buses were full because of a national holiday. When the branch president of San Fernando learned of our plight he drove us to his house and then loaned us his old Chevy truck to get us back to the mission home. We drove most of the way in a driving rainstorm but got there without incident. Rafael Vera, counselor to President Earl was one of the passengers. Greg J. Melven 06 Dec 2011
