| ( I share this story just so you might enjoy remembering the place names and how inexpensive things used to be. This was while I was living in Chile with my family prior to my mission)
My first date was with Stephanie Harding. I took cinco escudos (about $3 U.S.) I went to Plaza Ñuñoa on la calle Irrarrazaval by way of micros. There I got a taxi and went to the Harding’s house and picked up Stephanie. We went to a Cine on Huerfanos street (Flick Row) and saw the Pink Panther. Then we walked to El Bacarat and had dinner. Took another taxi to her house then a couple of micros back home. There was still a bit of change left in my pocket. |
