Comments: It is a milestone for the Nings who has been living in the “Mormon Village” for a half-century.
It began long ago… September 28, 1958, as a young boy I witnessed my parents and my two older brothers getting baptized in the swimming pool of the old mission home at #2 Cornwall Street, Kowloon Tong. The Nings were the only Mormons from the “Wesley Church Housing Project” on Tai Hang Road, Causeway Bay.
I was baptized at the same spot as my family was only a few years earlier. In November 1973 I arrived at that same location, and was set apart as a full-time missionary. Within those two years I had the privilege of working with many wonderful missionary-companions, and had seen the mighty changes taken place in some of our investigators after joining the Church.
During my trips to Hong Kong in the late 90’s I was able to visit two Bishops that I had once taught them the gospel, and subsequently they and their families also visited at our home in Utah. Each of the Tses and Huis’ children had served missions.
In addition of being a husband, a father, and a proud grandpa of three-grandson; I am a Temple Ordinance Worker at the Bountiful Utah Temple. I love and enjoy each of those callings.
