My older brother, Elder Danny Levie served in Colombia in about 1973-74. My family and I went to pick him up in about February of 1974 and a family invited my sister and I to stay with them. Tonya and I stayed in Bucaramanga for about 5 months until June. It was the time of my life. I was about 13 and I remember going out with Elder Kent Nelson and the missionaries there in Bucaramanga. The Gomez family that we stayed with I don't believe ever joined the church, but they were great hosts, and I sure appreciate all they did for us. |
