I have a brother (Brian) whose formal earthly mission lasted from September of 1994 to March of 1996. His mission changed on March 15th, 1996 when he and his companion were walking along the roadside of Naugatuck (spelling). It was raining that evening, & Brian & his new companion were walking home from an investigator's home (who was scheduled for baptism the next day) when a car drove past them & struck my brother. He died at the scene in the service of his Father & his Saviour. My family & I KNOW that Brian still is very much a part of your mission. He still labors there with you on a regular basis & helps you through an ever-thinning veil. As current & future missionaries serving in this mission, know that it is very special, that there are others working alongside of you every day who have walked in your shoes. Brian always said, "Discouraged I may get, but I will never quit." Know that he hasn't quit, either. He labors in this mission alongside each and every one of you.
Thinking of you & praying for you every day,
Cheree |
