Presidents: Richard Winder (1990 - 1993) | Served: 1991 - 1992 | Language(s) spoken:Czech | Areas Served: Prague, Jihlava, Plzen | Your Occupation: ER Physician | Spouse: Paul DaBell | Comments: After my mission, I went back to BYU Provo and graduated in Nursing and Physics. I worked as an ER/ICU nurse at LDS Hospital as well as a Life Flight Nurse for Intermountain Healthcare when I decided to go to medical school. I went to medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine and met my husband Paul. I did my ER residency training in at SUNY Buffalo in New York and at the end of my residency found out we were expecting twin daughters. We moved back to Orem for a short time to have the girls and then moved to Phoenix, AZ to start my first job as an ER doctor. We are living in the North Peoria stake and just love our little nest of a Mormon community. We hope to settle down here to finish raising our kids as we are building our dream house about a mile away from our current house. Our girls are now six and are enjoying trying out many activities, but are most involved in gymnastics. They have also enjoyed swimming, soccer, synchronized swimming, and dance. They are excited to start ice skating lessons this summer. I am teaching the CTR 6 class and have 17 awesome 6 year olds that I also had in my sunbeam class a few years ago. Paul is the ward clerk. We have kept best contact with Jitka (Jakubikova) Navratil and her beautiful family over the years and have enjoyed their occasional visit to Arizona when there travels brings them our direction. I last visited Prague in 2005, but look forward to taking my daughters and husband there sometime in the near future. We are just waiting for them to be old enough to remember the trip. |
