I practice law in Salt Lake City with James McConkie, who also served in the Czechoslovakia Prague Mission. Owen Fuller (another Czech alum) works as our marketing director.
Prior to law school, I served as a political officer at the American Embassy in Prague for nearly three years.
My wife Milada is a nurse practitioner with IHC.
We have two children, Veronica and Alexander.
As special outside legal counsel for the Church for matters pertaining to the Czech Republic and Slovakia, I have had the opportunity to remain involved in a variety of legal and governmental issues that affect the Church and the Mission in those countries.
In 2010, I was appointed by the Government of the Czech Republic as the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic to the State of Utah. The Consulate operates out of my law office and provides services to Czech citizens residing or travelling in Utah.
I am also a board member of the Toronto Foundation which was founded and is run by returned missionary volunteers. The Foundation coordinates and sponsors meaningful grass-roots service projects with Church members in their local communities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. |
