: You know, it does bother me a little yes. I feel very bad about what happened in the mission. In a way I feel personally betrayed because I was comps with a couple of the guys in this group and I didn't find out until later what they had been involved in. In some aspects I feel like they took away from my mission. If you are praying for me to be more forgiving that's great, maybe you should tell me who you are and I can focus on forgiving you first. You're right, it's hard for me to let go of this because I feel responsible for the Lord's work and the legacy we as missionaries have left in that part of the world. I wish I could be so understanding about the whole situation as you. I really do.
I don't know who you are, so I am not going to judge you. Which of these Mayimbes did you know? Did you know me? Are you forgetting how old we were? I knew the original Mayimbes, heck, I was probably one of the founders. I can tell you that we were just trying to be good missionaries without going crazy. If you believe half of the stories that are told about us then you are very gullible. I am sorry if we ruined your mission. You know what ruined my mission. It was Elders going down to the river banks, paying for people to come to church twice, paying for them to get married, and then baptizing them. NEVER TO SEE THEM AGAIN! But they could go home and tell their families and friends that they baptized 500 people on their missions. All I was looking for was a happy medium.
