Right now you can get cheap tickets from the american airline wesite (www.aa.com). I think most tickets during september are $450 round trip to the dominican republic. Most travel agents are quoting $750-780.
You have to go to American Airlines website (www.aa.com), type in the departure and return date (santo domingo airport code is SDQ), and then it will come up with a list of itineraries and prices. IMPORTANT: To get the lower price of $450 you have sign up for their AA Advantage thing (it's free) and type in your AA number at that point to get the web saver fare. Note: You are not purchasing anything at that point. Remember,the first price that comes up is not the real price.
For most of the different dates I've typed the price has been $450. Anybody found cheaper?
