Started and wrote the curriculum for the accredited Theme Park Design Major. Was the first to graduate in the major. The summer out of graduation I started working as a Wilderness Survival Therapist for the company Walkabout. I had a blast leading students on survival treks through the wilderness and teaching them survival skills that were all basically acquired from trying to survive my crazy companions (you know who you are) and even crazier Ecuador. In 2004 I taught Art at Woodland Hills Private HS and also worked on a ride design that I had conceptualized years before. I put together a design team that consisted of Luke Steadman (concept design), Katie Taggart (writer/script), and Brian Crosby (storyboards). In Jan. of 2005 we submitted the design to Walt Disney Imagineering. Because of the success of our submission, Croz is now employed at WDI and I relocated and am living in Southern California and have been working on a number of projects and for several companies, which include: Thinkwell Design (Caesars Palace redesign project, The Museum of Television, KING KONG), Jeff Carter Designs ( The Western Heritage Art Center in Yellowstone Nat. Park), and most recently I am painting the poster for a new Superman attraction, and designing a 17th century Edwardian rocketship to go into Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.
I am also working as a behavior therapist for Pacific Child out of Glendale, and am planning on attending grad. school next Fall to receive my Masters in Art Therapy.
Oh, and I am still enjoying the single life. |
