I was at a Venezuelan restaurant yesterday that some patients had
recommended to me. I started talking to the owner and found out that he is
actually from Quito. His name is Luis Meza, and he worked for seminaries
and institutes in Ecuador in some kind of supervisory role during the 80's.
He even threw in a bottle of Tropical for me along with my arepas (a taste I
acquired while travelling in Venezuela).
Anyway, he said they are having a 9 de octubre celebration at his restaurant
next weekend-- Fri and Sat. He should be sending me more information, which
I would be happy to forward to you. I don't know what the policy is for the
mission website about advertising, but if you think it is appropriate I will
send you details.
His restaurant is called
Restaurante El Arepazo

He features Venezuelan, Colombian and Ecuadorian foods.
