I was there when it all started, we met President & Sister Mitchell and family when they got off the plane in Gye. I worked in the office when Belgica (mission home cook) was hired. I was present when Elder Peterson created the first stake. My companions were Spencer L. Weston, Kent McBeth, Riofrio, Aland Valarezo, Jorge Villacis, R. Paul Frazier, Kurt Munson, Hanson, Mark Simmons, Preston F. Kirk, Dale, (local), Jorgensen, Bob Overall, Mike Reed and Bruce Brierley.
I'm a dentist in Phoenix and I have six boys and one girl. When folks ask me how many children I have I tell them,"One and a half dozen!" I graduated from the University of Utah in 1983 and Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1987. My wife Sue and I love AZ. Our trip to Guayaquil was the trip of a lifetime. Words can not fully describe the joy we felt there as we visited with friends from those many years ago.
