Wow, it has been many years since the mission, how time flies. I have been married for 12 years this coming April (2006). I married Rebecca Sharp of Preston, Idaho. We have five children, Robert 10, Alva 7, Joseph 5, Morgan 2 (only girl) and Chandler 2 months.
I met my wife while attending Utah State University, where we both earned Bachelor Degrees (mine in Animal Science and hers in Ag Business). I later earned a Masters of Science Degree from South Dakota State University in Animal Science. I now work in the lovely little town of Eastport, Idaho (it's on the Canadian Border) for the FDA. I have been there for 3 1/2 years, only 26 1/2 years to go, and than I can be found on the nearest River with a fly rod in my had and a trout on the other end.
I was not able to include all of my companions and some that I did include were only comps for a few days to a few weeks. The ones I did not include were not on the list to choose from, sorry.
The time I spent in Ecuador changed my life for the good. It was a pleasure to be on the Lord's errand. I am currently blessed to be serving as the assistant/venture leader to the Youngmen's President in our ward. What a calling, where else can you be in the outdoors doing fishing, camping, Mt. Biking ect... and be able to tell your wife you have to go because it is part of your calling... Now on the serious side, it is awesome to be working with the youngmen and watching them grow and prepare to serve the Lord. |
