I have fond memories of my mission in Ecuador. I started with Elder Kris Hansen in the MTC. President Berge was my MP the whole time. My first area was Garcia Moreno (Guayaquil) with Elder Villacis; then Primavera, Duran with Overton and Turley; Yaguachi with Tex Turner and Price; Mapasingue with Lee Sorensen and Kenton Baker; Febres Cordero with Azar, Streadbeck, and Jed Jones; Barrio Sur with Ken Schofield; and finally Machala with Alan Jacobson, Jibby Marshall, and Jeff Scarbrough.
Companions:
Alan L. Jacobson
Your Occupation: Marketing
Spouse: Kerry Stewart
Comments:
Kerry Stewart waited for me after her mission in Paraguay and we married in the Ogden Temple in Aug 86. After finishing her degree at BYU we moved to CO to pursue my aviation degree. I got it in 91 and ended up as a CFI in Clovis, NM. After 2 years of starvation I quit and went back to AZ for a while. New opportunities came up in Wichita, KS which led to Cessna Aircraft Company, first as a tech writer for 2 yrs, then Marketing as a Sales Engineer for 7 yrs. After a few years in other positions including as a Six Sigma Black Belt, I have returned to Sales Engineering in order to avoid a layoff during the downturn. Meanwhile, I finally went back to school in 99 and finished in 01 with a BS in business.

My wife and I have been blessed over the years with 12 kids. The first six came to us by birth. Two were adopted in August 2003 and four more joined the family in March 2006. All 6 of the “new” kids had been in the state foster care system. They finally have a forever family! Between them and church callings (YM/Scouting) we stay very busy - and gratefully so.

The circle of life continues! Our oldest, Sam, has returned from his mission in Ribeirao Preto Brazil and our second son, Gregg, leaves for Rio de Janeiro North in July 2009!
