My family and I have lived in Wuerzburg, Germany for the past four years where I worked for the U.S. Army as an active duty pediatrician and served as the bishop of a combined German-American Ward. My scholarship payback is now complete, so I am leaving the Army and moving back to my hometown of Twin Falls, Idaho where I have joined a group pediatric practice. My parents still live there so our kids will be smothered with year-round grandparent attention for the first time in their lives. My wife, Brittany, and I are very sad to leave Europe, but excited about this new opportunity for our family. Besides, everyone knows Idaho is brimming over with cultural diversity and architectural treasures. We should be fine.
We have four great kids that keep us busy and on our toes: Kaiya (11 yr old daughter), Andrew (9 yr old son), Ryley (6 yr old daughter), and Lance (3 yr old son). Having been in German schools for several years, they are trying to adjust back to life in American schools.
