I returned to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and received an Aeronautical Engineering Degree (June 90) and was hired at Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin). I currently work as a launch operations engineer for Lockheed Martin on Vandenberg AFB.
In 2001 I spent 4 months on Kodiak Island, AK to launch a NASA satellite (and I thought Ecuador was remote). They have a good size ward and nice building. I stopped by the Anchorage Temple on one trip.
Currently (Feb 04) I am working toward an MBA. Also, the launch site is being renovated to handle a larger rocket called the Atlas V.
I married Stephanie Southwick in June 89 at the Los Angeles Temple and have two beautiful girls: Candice (1/93) and Zoe (6/96). Both girls are dancers and like soccer and are way smarter than their dad.
As far as church callings, I served in the Santa Maria 7th Branch twice since returning home. Currently (Feb 04) I am the Ward Clerk in the Santa Maria 2nd Ward. |
