I am currently living in Sandy, UT. My third son, Peter just returned from his mission to Quebec, Montreal where he spoke Spanish, French, English and Swahili. My second son K.C. served in Korea, Seoul West and my oldest Philip served in the Russia, Samara mission. My youngest - a daughter Erika is off to college in the fall, so Kathie and I will be empty nesters.
I have had a rewarding international career based on an MA in Linguistics from BYU and an MBA from Thunderbird. We have lived as a family in four countries. Our children are at least bilingual. During our years in Europe, the Church had me move from Belgium to France and then Frankfort to head up the Translation Department in Europe, which I did until returning to the US. While in Utah I have been Director of Translation Services and brought the number of languages interpreted for General Conference up to its current level of 92 - while at the same time introducing new technology to support such an effort. Three months ago I took over the management of the Church's distribution and logistic operations in Europe.
I enjoy our hobby-ranch operation where we run cattle and raise and train horses.
We are all very engaged in the Kingdom, having served at one time or another in most callings. |
