Sheila and I already knew each other from church in the Netherlands. We saw each other in England, when I was in the MTC and she was visiting the London temple. We decided to write each other, which we did occasionally during my mission. Near the end of my mission, Sheila wrote that she wanted to serve a mission as well. Fortunately for me, I was able to convince her to at least give me a chance to get to know her a little better...One year after my mission we married in the London temple. After moving 3 times we now live in Lelystad (The Netherlands), about 20 feet below sea level... We have 3 girls, Evelien (11), Leanne (9) and Neorah (4) and 1 boy, Ischa (7). |
