Comments: UPDATE JAN 2007
I met my lovely husband in 1993 after he joined the church in 1992 in Exeter, and my sister introduced us. He had been converted after having the 13 candle cottage meeting by the missionaries - I always wonder if it was the cottage meeting booklet that I made in the office and sent out to all the UK missions that helped convert him! I may never know but maybe that was the reason why I was inspired to do it!! We married in 1995 and have two wonderful children Rachel (10 years) and Matthew (8 years).
Robin is an analytical chemist and works for the University of London. I worked for Barclays Business finance for 10 years but after having my kids, went to university. After gaining my degree in nursing I worked in intensive care and have just started a job as manager of a sheltered housing complex in Windsor. (email: wendy.hunter@anchor.org). I also teach rubber stamping for adult education.
I serve as Education councellor and Robin is High Priest Group leader in our ward in Slough. We also serve as Family History Consultants for our ward.
2007 is twenty years from when I left to go on my mission and I can't believe how quick time has flown! I count my mission as a great blessing in my life and appreciate the inspiration President Lee gave us all.
I would love to hear from anyone from the mission and if you ever come over to England, you are welcome to stay with us. (20 miles from London, 5 miles from Heathrow). Take care. - ' ' -
