Sportsfans and fellow saints:
Life is far from plain. I've got a pre-teen daughter that's going on 20, a son that keeps her in check, and they both come to me to sort it out. Can't complain . . . they keep me young.
The missus is finishing her nursing degree FINALLY. After 12 years and more credits than a math major can count, she's getting done with her nursing associate's degree. She may do her bachelor's, the thought of which I tremble at, but wish her well.
Still working at the law enforcement thing. I am now the sergeant managing our Street Crimes Unit and continue to serve on the tactical team. I've given up teaching at the colleges and firefighting, opting instead to focus on having more and more fun with kids. Nevertheless, the street crimes unit consumes every minute or work time I have.
I did, however, join the National Guard. Mainly, it's an effort to get some good training and earn some extra money to pay for law school.
Law school is just over a year away. I'm approaching the LSATs, so any hints would be welcome. August of '09 is the target for being at law school - hopefully BYU.
