I married Mikki (the girl who wrote to me every week) and we're going on 15 years now (as of this writing, May 2009).
Mikki and I have three young children (Jack, age 6; Alec, age 5; and Emma, age 2). Mikki is currently a primary teacher, and I teach Gospel Doctrine. My family and the gospel still bring the most meaning to my life.
I finished a few degrees in archaeology and ancient history a long while ago, and did lots of fieldwork in the Middle East and Mediterranean areas. I teach Greek, Latin and Classical History at the University of Utah when it's a good funding year (which hasn't been for a while). I also did some private sector work as a contract archaeologist. Right now, I'm happily a desk jockey at UDOT doing environmental science and engineering. |
