Wow! Lots happened after I was released. My folks came and picked me up and we drove back to Lyon where they were living. I atteneded the University de Lyon II for a semester and was also the Young Mens' Pres. in Lyon 2nd ward. I was trying to start a scout troop there when I eventually got homesick and decided to come back to the states in Feb-96. I moved in with 2 of my brothers in Tyler,TX and took my 1st post-mission job as a taxi driver. I attended Tyler Junior College and got an AA in Business. Tried to continue working on my bachelors in accounting at UT-Tyler but got burned out working 3rd shift as a 911 dispatcher and taking a full load. So-I decided to be a truck driver for CRST Intl (thanks Goose). 5 months later I was a fleet manager on 2nd shift living in Cedar Rapids,IA in Nov 99. In Dec I started going to the singles branc in Iowa City where I met Sarah Yoder. In Jan we strted dating and in Mar I proposed. In Aug we were sealed in the SLC temple. She is an art teacher in high school. |
