Comments: I have been married since May 1977 to my High School Sweetheart who waited while I served. We have four children with my oldest son Rick returned from the England Bristol Mission in December 2000 and my next oldest, Colin, is now serving in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission where he will get to learn some Cajun. He did take some French in school so should be able to fit in. I also have another son who is 17 and will graduate from High School in June. My daughter is now ten. I still get to use my French on a regular basis as I am employed by the Canadian Govt. Each time I communicate with my colleagues in Ottawa or Quebec I try to do so in French. It is really not quite the same as good old Parisien French but it sure helps keep my language up. There are four others in my ward who all served in France so we have fun. In fact three of us are in the local Bishopric and we are working on the other two. |
