Comments:
Pat and I have received a mission call to serve as CES missionaries in the Canada Montreal Mission. We go into the MTC on July 9, 2012.

We have been married since 1973. We have 2 sons, 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren. We have lived in 6 states and 3 foreign countries (4 counting Canada). Our favorite, of course, was living in France for 2 1/2 years. We were just outside Versailles. Texas is home.

In 2004, we did something that I would recommend to all RM's. Our family agreed to forego Christmas presents in 2003. Instead, the kids each saved their money and bought tickets to France. I found a big farm house to rent for two weeks. It was a Christmas present that will never stop giving. Our kids remembered living in France when they were little but the trip developed a love of France that we all share. Even my daughters-in-law that had never been to France came away in love with the country.
