Comments:
My missionary service was a springboard into the rest of my life, a valuable rite of passage. I'm very glad that I embraced the opportunity to become immersed in a foreign culture, master a second language, and make some life-long friends.

After decades of faithful service at the local and stake level I took off the rose-colored glasses of blind faith and looked deeply at the origins and practices of church I represented for over 30 years.

I decided to take my life back and to fully enjoy every moment, every challenge, and every experience. I feel greater joy and savor life now more than ever.

I invite all FPM alumni to boldly examine your faith and apply the wisdom and critical thinking skills you have gained at this juncture in your life. Do feelings, emotion, and traditions trump the ever-growing mountain of facts? If not, have the courage to adjust your life accordingly.
