After my mission I returned to my home in Virginia. I married in 1983, my wife had four children, then we divorced in 1996. In May 1997, I married a beautiful Caribbean girl named Mavis who was from Trinidad, a recent convert to the church and a returned missionary, having served in the Dominican Republic. Tragically, she and the baby daughter we would have named Samantha passed away ten months into our marriage for reasons that remain somewhat indeterminate. The baby was in its seventh month and Mavis was 32. The story of how Mavis and I met as well as other talks from the funeral can be found at at http://home.lgcy.com/mridgway. I remain single, and work in the software industry in Salt Lake. I am anxious to establish and reestablish acquaintances with missionaries and members from France.
