Comments:
My family moved from Iron Mountain, Michigan to Prescott, Arizona during my mission. Soon after returning home to Prescott, I moved to Moab, Utah where I worked as a surveyor in an underground potash mine for about two years. Once I had enough money saved, I started my college education at BYU in the fall of 1966. Soon afterwards I met Kathleen Dickson and we were married in June, 1967. After graduating from BYU, I transferred to the School of Oceanography at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. There I eventually earned my Masters and Ph.D. degrees after another eight years of schooling. We finally got a job in the real world (Portland, OR) in 1979 and have been here since then. My work basically involves regional coordination of West Coast tagging and marking programs carried out by the various fishery agencies to track and evaluate their respective hatchery production of salmonid species.

We have seven children, of which five joined our family while I was a student. Six children are now married, with our youngest now a sophmore at BYU-Provo. It has been a very busy life but equally rewarding as we have stayed true to the Gospel and have served in many church callings. At this point, I'm still 5-6 years from retirement but more than eager to serve additional full-time missions with my dear companion.
