Your Occupation: custom car builder
Spouse: Kolene
Comments:
My wife Kolene and I have been happily married for 25 years. We've been busy raising three children, Jessica 23, Derrin 21, and Kelsie 16. Jess is chasing a career in photography, Derrin recently enlisted in the Air Force Reserves, Kelsie is a "social butterfly" at her high school.
I've worked in various sales jobs then jumped from the frying pan into the fire to become self-employed in 1988 as a construction/remodeling contractor. During that time, my hobby of building custom cars was steadily becoming a full time job. That's what I've settled into as a way to keep me out of trouble for about the last four years.
I've been active in the church since missionary service and have served in the young men; in sunday school (gospel doctrine, gospel essentials); in bishoprics; in high priest group leaderships; as activities chairman and am currently the physical facilities rep for our wardhouse. It's all been rewarding and fullfilling. I was fortunate to be able to take my wife to Paris two years ago with Ed Armstrong and his wife Teri and Paul Blomquist and his wife Jana. It was a great experience to go back after 26 years. The experience was tempered however, when a month after we retuned, Ed died from surgery complications. It was all so sudden. We miss him, but celebrate knowing him.
