Comments: As promised, here's fuller data on my Pappy, President H. Duane Anderson.
Born 1913, died 1995.
President Served from 1967-69 (he was released in early 1969). After the death of his wife, Sister Leola Seely Anderson, in June, 1968, he insisted on returning to complete his mission, feeling that "the people in Pau," in service to whom they were on the road that day, would otherwise never forgive themselves. The Saints in the Mission were visibly moved by this evidence of his concern for them.
This image is a photo of him at his desk in the Mission Home at 3, rue de Lota, Paris XVI.
Thanks to President Anderson's son Richard for providing the update to this profile. |
