My first companion was Elder Daniel Thompson (Tours, 1984). He was a great trainer and had many bleus. He tried his best, but I was a little (cough, cough) rebellious. After two months, he was transferred to another city but came back to do splits between his companionship and mine. His new bleu asked me if Elder Thompson had any quirks. Just wanting to add some spice into their companionship, I told his new bleu that Elder Thompson loved to eat the pointy ends of croissants, and that he would sometimes cut off the ends off my croissants and eat them! Well, due to a train-strike, they ended up sleeping over that night. In the morning when I arose to eat breakfast, I took out my bag of croissants to eat with my yogurt and found ALL my croissants were missing their ends!! A small white card was in the bag. It was written by Elder Thompson and simply said, "Ah, just like old times, eh Frère?" I snickered about that all day long and still get a chuckle about it when it comes to mind.
