For those who are unable to attend the reunion in person, a summary of the reunion including the presidents’ messages will be distributed through email and the mission website.
The Germany Berlin Missionary Reunion for those who served under President Schütze or President Wunderlich will be held from 7:00pm-9:30pm (7:30-8:30 will be a chapel session) on Friday, April 1, 2005, at the LDS meeting house located at 4th Avenue and P Street in Salt Lake City. This building has been used for the past several years for our reunions and is located in the Avenues just east of downtown Salt Lake City.
Both President and Sister Wunderlich and President and Sister Schütze will be in attendance, as well as Andreas and Sarah (Gefeke) Schafer. It will likely also be our privilege of having Elder Dieter Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as a guest speaker.
Last year we were challenged by President Schütze to make contact with someone we came to know on our mission to strengthen their faith. It’s not too late to make good on that challenge. During the chapel session (please wear appropriate attire) we would like to provide some missionaries time to share any experiences they have had in regards to the renewing of the strength of our brethren and sisters in Berlin. If you have had any such experiences and would like to share, whether you are going to be at the reunion or not, please let Erika Whitmore know (702-450-2219; R75DDUB@aol.com).
Following the chapel session, we will socialize with refreshments in the cultural hall. Please bring either your favorite dessert, finger food or a drink to share. Lastly, please spread the word to all those from the mission you can reach in order that as many as possible will join us. See you at the reunion.
If you have any questions, please contact President Wunderlich (916-359-6323; wcwunder@yahoo.com), Rob Jex (801-766-1679; execsec@saratogacable.net), Michael Geary (michael@gearyweb.com) or Erika Whitmore (702-450-2219; R75DDUB@aol.com).
