My wife and I are currently serving in the mission office in the Mississippi Jackson Mission and every time we meet with the young missionaries I appreciate President Poecker more. He always used to tell us he was "training bishops." We need more like him. Here in the mission field, not a day goes by but I think about him and the things he and Sister Poecker taught us.
We have four daughters, two of whom are not yet married, but things are looking up. We also have three grandchildren, two rambuctious boys and a crazy half-Argentine girl. |
