I live in Germany and have lived here a total of 15 years since my mission - first in the Army (1987-1990) then since 1992 as a civilian. After graduating from BYU, I spent 4 years in the Army, then got out to get an MBA from UT-Austin, then came to Frankfurt with my German wife (we met during my Army stint). I worked for the Church as a real estate manager from 1992-1999. From 1999-2005 I worked for GM/Opel, also in corporate real estate, and I am now working for the State Department at the US Consulate in Frankfurt. We have three kids: Gianni (14), Annabella (10), and Amber Rose (6). All three are completely bi-lingual (they speak better German than I do!)
My other companions were Joseph Major (who passed away from a brain tumor in 1996), Dean Richardson, Gregg Myers, Mark Wilkins, Doug Chausow, Stan Turner, Ken Welch, Frank Giles, Josh Agle, Rob Harrill, and Mark(?) Ludwig. I still have contact with Ken Welch, who also lives in Germany with his Czech wife and is doing quite fine (they have a daughter). I would love to hear from any of my former comps. |
