After my mission I returned to West Point and graduated in May of 2004. After that I completed my officer basic course in Maryland. While I was there I met my wife Dawn who was a recent convert and was attending West Virginia University at the time. We got engaged in December of 2004. Then I deployed to Iraq in March 2005. Dawn and I were married in April 2006 after I returned from Iraq. She then moved with me to Fort Carson Colorado, and then two months later to Fort Hood Texas. In November 2006 I injured my back after 14 months of medical treatment in an effort to return to a deployable status. The decision was made to start the medical separation process which resulted in me leaving the army in December 2008. In May of 2009 I was finally able to find a job and and now working for the Army as civilian in the III Corps Headquarters here at Fort Hood. |
