I have no news off the cuff. I have fond memories of people who lifted my hands up in the mission and kept me from giving up completely. My testimony is sure but my life experiences keep moving me in unsteady directions I never thought of being in as a 20 year old. I am working to be an effective missionary in Portland where I and my extended family live. The lack of receptivity toward religion by a larger part of the Deutsche public shows in the tiny but strong number of Deutsche families listed as church members. I am more encouraged by the numbers of Americans of Deutsche descent and the Japanese and Chinese whom I encounter more often here on the West Coast along with other Ethnic groups too numerous to mention in the space and time I have available. Warmest feelings and hope to all, especially the current missionaries in Deutchland, die Schweiz, and Österreich.
