Tom (who served in our mission from 1989-1991) and I met in Colorado after being set up by his aunt who lived in my parents ward. We were amazed to find that we had served in almost all of the same areas and knew many of the same people. We even discovered that we slept in the same top bunk in the apartment in Stein. We are now the parents of three boys ages 5 - 10. Tom has an MBA from the University of Utah and is working for Regence (health insurance). I "stay home" with the boys and am busy with PTA, Community Council and multiple church callings. Our ward was reorganized a year ago and I'm now on my sixth and seventh callings in that time. For anyone who served with me in Regensburg, you'll be shocked to know that I'm the Primary pianist. Yes, our ward here in Utah is just as desperate as the branch was there. Tom is the Elders Quorum president and that keeps him busy along with ward basketball. Our boys are great! The two older ones are involved in Cub Scouts and are both terrific readers. Our youngest is in Kindergarten and is learning to read and do everything his big brothers do. As a family we love swimming, biking, hiking and camping. We are also enjoying the blessing of supporting my baby sister on her current mission in Carlsbad, California. For those who served with me, she is the one who was paralyzed from encephalitis and going through therapy the whole time I was in Germany. Never thought we'd see the day that she'd be Sister Huff in the mission field. Our God is still a God of miracles. |
