Just a quick note to let everyone know that from time to time visitors to the alumni site make contact with individuals through the send email link in your profile. If you receive an email from someone unknown, do not reply. Your email address is protected from spam harvesters who visit the site. The only way someone else will know your email address is if you reply to their message. We cannot prevent visitors from sending an email to registered users, unless they attempt to send a duplicate of the message to other registered users. In this case, the email is prevented from being sent out.
So, long and short is do not respond to emails you receive through the alumni site from people you do not know.
