I married my wife Allison on Apr. 12, 2008 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, Utah. We have a one-year-old daughter named, Lauren Rachelle Hansen, who was born Dec. 13, 2011 in Englewood, Colorado.
I graduated from Brigham Young University in Dec. 2007 with a degree in Communications and Political Science. Following the completion of my undergraduate studies, I attended law school. I graduated with a Juris Doctor from The University of Tulsa College of Law in May 2011—specializing in land use and natural resources law. I now am practicing law in the State of Colorado, with the majority of my work focused on water rights.
It is difficult to believe, but it has almost been a decade since I last visited Guatemala. On my last visit in December 2004, I climbed El Volcan Pacaya in Esquintla and visited with various individuals and families, who I had the privilege of teaching and serving while as a missionary. I hope to visit Guatemala again in the not too distant future.
It's amazing to run into so many people within the Church with ties to Guatemala and our mission in particular. Please feel free to contact me whenever; it would be great to catch up with some of the best people I have ever associated with.
Serving a full-time mission is one of the greatest blessings in my life, and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to serve in Guatemala with each of you and those who we shared the restored gospel with. |
