I enjoy a warm breeze in my face, long walks on the beach, and I'm not afraid to cry. I'm getting married May 7, 2003, exactly one year after returning from Guate. I will forever hold a place in my heart for Guatemala.
(Three years later)
I'm still going to school, currently at Utah State, and hope to be starting the radiology program at Weber State next fall. At the moment I'm at a reasonably good fighting weight, "reasonably good" for how much I eat. My wife and I are approaching our three year anniversary, and I'm closing in on my 4 year anniversary of having returned from Guate, both happen to be on the same day. No kids, that I know of anyway, and we're still doing the whole apartment gig, which will hopefully change soon. I still dream about beans and eggs, with a heepin' helpin' of bland tortillas on the side (mmmm boy!), is that weird? I hold fond memories of all the companions I was able to serve with, well...except one, and no it's not Gary, or Cody, or you Logan my son, or Devin, or Patrick, or the Haddens, so don't worry. The person to whom I'm referring is Mr. Justin Lawless....Just Kidding Dad! Even though I haven't heard from you since you orphaned me 4 years ago. That's alright, I'm not bitter, I've just got to face the fact...and that is, my father doesn't love me. Anywho, enough ranting, stay cool, I'll call you sometime. (P.S. Lawless, this message will remain unchanged until you live up to your patriarchal responsibilities and finally treat me as the fruit of your loins) |
